1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Authenticator & Secure VPN (the “App”), provided by Matech Mobile (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The service

The App may provide tools for generating authentication codes, organizing passwords and related information, backing up selected data in encrypted form, establishing VPN connections, checking Wi-Fi information, and accessing related security features. Features may vary by device, country, App version, subscription status, and third-party availability.

The App is an independent product and is not endorsed by or affiliated with the third-party services for which you may generate authentication codes.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, Matech Mobile grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control for lawful purposes. The App is licensed, not sold.

You may not copy, rent, sell, sublicense, distribute, reverse engineer, modify, interfere with, or create derivative works from the App except where applicable law expressly permits it. You may not bypass security, payment, access, or usage controls.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for securing your device, App access, Google account, 2FA setup keys, passwords, recovery codes, and exported information. You are also responsible for maintaining an alternative way to access important accounts and for testing your backups before relying on them.

You agree not to use the App to violate law, infringe others’ rights, disrupt networks or services, distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, hide unlawful activity, or abuse VPN or third-party infrastructure.

5. Cloud Backup and Google Drive

Cloud Backup is optional and requires Google authorization. The App encrypts supported backup content before uploading it to the App’s private Google Drive app-data folder. A recovery code is required to decrypt a backup on another installation. The recovery code is not uploaded, and Matech Mobile cannot recover or replace it.

You are responsible for storing the recovery code safely. Loss of every copy may make backups permanently inaccessible. Backup and restore may fail because of network interruptions, device restrictions, authorization changes, storage limits, service outages, software errors, or other causes. Maintain independent recovery methods for critical accounts.

You can remove snapshots through the App and revoke authorization through your Google Account. Your use of Google Drive is also subject to Google’s terms.

6. VPN use

VPN availability, locations, speed, and connectivity are not guaranteed. A VPN does not make activity anonymous or eliminate all security, privacy, malware, phishing, tracking, or legal risks. You remain responsible for your online activity and compliance with applicable laws and the terms of networks and services you access.

7. Purchases and subscriptions

Some features may require an in-app purchase or automatically renewing subscription processed by Google Play. Prices, billing periods, trials, and included features are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew unless canceled through Google Play before the renewal date. Google Play’s payment, cancellation, and refund policies apply.

We may change prices or feature availability as permitted by law and platform rules. Changes do not retroactively alter a completed billing period.

8. Advertising and third-party services

The App may display advertising and rely on services provided by Google, VPN infrastructure providers, analytics and attribution providers, and other third parties. Their services, content, and links are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

9. Updates, availability, and termination

We may update, add, change, suspend, or discontinue features to improve the App, address security or legal requirements, or respond to third-party changes. We may restrict or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms or use the App in a way that creates risk or legal exposure.

You may stop using the App at any time. Before uninstalling, preserve any information and recovery codes you need and remove cloud snapshots if desired.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation. We do not warrant that authentication codes, storage, backup, restore, VPN, Wi-Fi analysis, or third-party features will always be accurate, available, secure, or compatible.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matech Mobile and its affiliates, personnel, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of access, credentials, data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the App during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim or the minimum amount required by law.

12. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Matech Mobile from claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the App, law, or our operations. We will publish the updated Terms here and revise the effective date. Continuing to use the App after updated Terms take effect means you accept them where permitted by law.

14. General provisions

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, merger, or transfer of the App. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and Matech Mobile regarding the App.
